Joe Sheffer is a News and Documentary Cameraman currently based in London, UK, working for a range of international broadcasters and clients. He is a self lighting, self editing and often self producing shooter, confident on a range of Sony, Canon and Panasonic cameras.
Joe has a current I-Visa for the United States and HEFAT training for working in Hostile Environments from 1st Option Training.
Joe started his career with stints periods living in Yemen and Afghanistan. He worked for a range of international broadcasters, both as a cameraman and a journalist before taking a staff position in Jerusalem in 2014 with CNN.
After covering the war in Gaza in 2014, Joe returned to London from where he continued to cover the Middle East, travelling to Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq and Egypt as well as covering numerous terrorist attacks across Europe and the war in Ukraine. Outside of work Joe has an interest in Arabic, Cycle touring , climbing and travel.
